Chase von Colditz is a gorgeous 3-4 year old German Shepherd who is ready to walk right into your heart—literally, because he walks beautifully on a leash. Chase is very friendly with all of us at the rescue, readily going up to new people, and so appreciative of any and all attention and petting.  We hope he doesn't mind that we tell him he's a "pretty boy" because, well, he is! When we have him in the office, he settles down nicely, lying right by his handler's feet.  Smart and eager to please, he is a dream student who already knows his "sit" and "down" commands. In doggy playgroups, this boy is a superstar who shows excellent social skills, inviting other dogs to play, while also frequently checking back in with his people. (For now we aren't recommending him for children, as he prefers to dine undisturbed.)  He is reported to be good with chickens and tortoises. Whether he is relaxing by your side, playing fetch, or heading out for a trail hike, this affectionate companion is the total package and ready to be your new best friend. Another playful pup in the home would be great. Hurry down to meet wonderful Chase!
